Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez has reportedly told the club he’ll stay another season but leave on a free transfer to rivals Chelsea unless they make major signings to build a side that can win the title.

The Chilean is stalling over signing a new contract with the Gunners, who have offered him £250,000 a week to remain at the Emirates Stadium, as he is still unsure over their ambition.

Sanchez has been quoted as saying he’d like to stay in London for an ambitious team, with growing speculation that Chelsea are eager to pounce for him this summer.

Still, it seems the 28-year-old is in no particular hurry to leave as he could give Arsenal one more year to match his demands on the pitch, according to the Daily Mirror.
