Barcelona will call off their pursuit of Hector Bellerin in 10 day’s time after growing frustrated with Arsenal’s refusal to name their price, according to reports in Spain.

New Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has made the former La Masia graduate his No.1 target to strengthen the right-hand side of a Barcelona defence which struggled in the absence of Dani Alves last season after the Brazilian veteran was discarded by Luis Enrique and allowed to leave for Juventus on a free transfer.

Bellerin signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal last October but the temptation to rejoin his boyhood club is proving hard to resist.
