JOSE MOURINHO is prepared to wait until the end of August to make a move for Ross Barkley at Manchester United.

Express Sport understands United’s manager is attracted by the 23-year-old’s youth, English status and potential to improve away from Goodison Park.

However, the Red Devils, along with Chelsea and Tottenham, are put off by Everton’s current asking price of £50million.

United would also probably have to pay Barkley wages in excess of £100,000 a week, which is what he was offered by Everton.
