Giants after Donnarumma


Star AC Milan keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma continues to be linked to various European giants as the January mercato looms.

17 year old Gianluigi Donnarumma has been a leading light for the Rossoneri, often putting in commanding performances that have lead the club to victory on numerous occasions. Additionally the player possesses plenty of maturity for his age, and has been hailed as Gianluigi Buffon’s true heir.

As such, Donnarumma’s performances as well as future potential has seen the player linked to clubs from both England and Spain. According to the Daily Express, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona are the clubs said to be keeping tabs on the keeper.

Pep Guardiola has been unconvinced of Claudio Bravo, as the the former Barcelona player has made mistakes that which have led to the club losing vital points both domestically and in Europe. Chelsea, on the other hand, are eyeing Donnarumma as a contingency in case current incumbent Thibaut Courtois decides to depart Stamford Bridge.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are waiting in the wings eyeing any developments in the players contract situation. Milan are keen to tie down their brilliant youngster to a long term contract, but must deal with his agent Mino Raiola who’s intentions are unknown.

The Daily Express further indicates that if Manchester City do attempt to acquire the Class of 99′ youngster, then the Rossoneri would request Joe Hart who has had a decent season so far with Torino.
