Raheem Sterling will not be leaving Manchester City for Arsenal, according to Sky sources.

The City winger had been linked with a move to the Gunners as a part of any deal to bring Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad Stadium but manager Pep Guardiola is understood to be unwilling to let Sterling leave.

On Wednesday, Arsenal rejected a £50m bid from City for Sanchez, who is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates.

Arsenal were thought to be open to a cash deal that also included Sterling moving to north London as a makeweight, but Sky Sports News understand City are not considering such an option.
